No-drill exterior window shades

Exterior window shades that block the heat.

Stop the heat on the outside of the glass, where it counts. EZ Snap exterior shades are a see-through knitted mesh that blocks up to 90% of the heat before it ever reaches your window, so your rooms stay cooler and your air conditioner works less. You still see out, the daylight stays soft, and your floors and furniture are shielded from UV fade.

Cooler rooms, lower cooling bills, and the view you paid for

01 Heat stops outside the glass

Block the sun before it becomes heat inside

Interior blinds and curtains only react after the sun has already passed through the glass and warmed the room. An exterior shade works earlier: it intercepts the sun on the outside, so up to 90% of the heat never gets inside in the first place. That is the difference you feel on a hot afternoon, and the difference your cooling bill sees over a season. The mesh is see-through, so you keep the daylight and the view while the glare and the heat drop off.

02 No-drill, cut to fit

Snaps on the trim, scissors do the rest

No drill, no holes, no contractor. Our patented snap studs use 3M VHB adhesive that bonds to the window trim or frame and holds without a single screw. Trim the mesh to your exact window with household scissors, press the studs in place, and snap the shade on. It reaches full strength in about 72 hours, and if you ever want a mechanical backup, a free screw ships in every pack. Cut to fit any window, at your own pace.

03Questions

Exterior shades,
answered.

Q. 01

How much heat do they actually block?

Up to 90% of the heat, blocked on the outside of the glass before it ever enters the room. Because the shade stops the sun before it becomes indoor heat, you feel a real difference on hot afternoons and your cooling system does not have to work as hard.

Q. 02

Why outside the window instead of inside?

Interior blinds and curtains only react after the sun has already passed through the glass and heated the room. An exterior shade intercepts the sun first, so the heat is stopped before it gets in. That is what makes outside mounting so much more effective at keeping rooms cool.

Q. 03

Will I still be able to see out?

Yes. The shade is a see-through knitted mesh, so you keep your view and soft natural daylight while the glare and heat drop off. You look out; the sun is what gets filtered.

Q. 04

Do I have to drill into my window frame?

No. Our patented snap studs use 3M VHB adhesive that bonds to the trim or frame with no drilling and no holes. You cut the mesh to fit with household scissors and snap it on. A free screw is included in every pack if you ever want a mechanical backup.

Q. 05

Do they protect against UV fade?

Yes. By blocking the sun on the outside, the shades also block UV, which helps protect your floors, furniture, and window treatments from sun fade over time.

Q. 06

How much do they cost?

Shades start at $24.99. You can choose a precut size or build a custom kit cut to fit any window. Shipping is free on orders over $225, and the materials are backed by our Limited Lifetime warranty.
