01 Thin Walls, A Lot of Glass

An RV heats up faster than a house.

Thin walls, a lot of glass, and a roof AC that struggles once the sun is on it. Interior blinds and reflectix only trap that heat inside the rig. An exterior solar screen stops it on the outside of the window — the U.S. Department of Energy rates exterior shading the most effective way to cut solar heat gain — so the AC finally keeps up.

And because it snaps off in seconds, it comes down before you pull out of the campground.

05Questions

Will it block my view out of the RV?

No more than a window screen. From inside you see out clearly; from the outside the glass looks like a dark tinted surface. Black mesh blocks more heat; white is a more open weave if you want a brighter cabin.

Does it come off for travel?

Yes — that's the point. Unsnap the mesh in seconds and store it; the studs stay put, so you snap it back when you park. No tools, no re-installing.

Will it damage the RV's siding or windows?

No. The studs bond to the frame with 3M™ VHB — not to the glass — and hold with a strong, weather-resistant grip that still removes cleanly. No drilling into aluminum, fiberglass or vinyl.

Does it fit curved or odd-shaped RV windows?

Yes. The 6 ft-wide mesh is cut to fit with household scissors, so it follows any window shape — including the big curved front glass on a Class A.

Black or white mesh for an RV?

Most RVers run black on the sunny side for maximum cooling; white is a more open weave for a brighter cabin and view. Order the free sample pack to compare both.
